Robert Townsend is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in news reporting and anchoring. Currently serving as a Guest Columnist for The St. Louis American since April 2023, Robert previously worked at KSDK - 5 On Your Side from October 2019 to September 2024 as a Reporter/Anchor. Prior roles include a News Reporter at WDAF-TV from January 2011 to May 2019, as well as positions at KMOV-TV, FOX5 WAGA, and WFTS-TV, where responsibilities encompassed researching, investigating, writing, and presenting news stories both on air and online. Robert holds a Bachelor of Journalism in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and was recognized as an Honor Student while serving as the Class Speaker and Student Council President at Northwest High School.
