David Silverthorne has been serving as the Fellowship Manager at The Royal Society since September 2003, focusing on governance and community management, particularly overseeing the election program for Fellowship, Foreign Membership, and Council members, and working closely with the Society's leadership on election policy. Previously, David held the position of Team Leader in the Consultancy and Training Division at PkR Education Consultants Ltd from January 1999 to September 2003, where responsibilities included developing a School Inspector training program and managing consultancy services for local education authorities. David's educational background includes attendance at The Ravensbourne School from 1982 to 1990.
