Owen Kelly is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Member of the Economy and Enterprise Committee at the Royal Society of Edinburgh since September 2019, Owen focuses on enhancing the Scottish economy through collaboration between businesses and academia. As the Director of Engagement and Internationalization at the University of Edinburgh Business School, Owen fosters partnerships with companies. Previous roles include Deputy Director at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, CEO of Scottish Financial Enterprise, and Director of Communications and International at the Scottish Government. Owen holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh and has a strong background in communication, public policy, and international relations, complemented by language proficiency in Chinese.
