Julie Hodgkinson is an experienced events manager currently serving The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, where responsibilities include managing the annual Congress for 1,300 delegates and overseeing around 15 seminars annually, as well as organizing various prestigious events. Prior to this role, Hodgkinson worked as a War Grave Adjudicator at the National Army Museum, researching British Army casualties to assess their eligibility for commemoration. Hodgkinson also contributed to the Legasee Education Trust as a Learning and Participation Officer, focusing on projects related to the stories of Second World War veterans. Additionally, Hodgkinson managed the Festival of Ecology for the British Ecological Society's centenary and coordinated the Local Heroes programme at The Royal Society, celebrating scientific achievements through community engagement.
