Laura has been a member of the Ross School faculty since 2007. In her career as an actress, she has performed on stage, film, and television since the age of 14 in venues from New York to Miami. She attended Bard College, New York University, and the New School for Social Research, receiving a BA in liberal arts. Laura is a Certified Music Together teacher, and has taught Early Childhood Music and Movement classes as well as Creative Dramatics classes for over 20 years for many educational institutions, including Children's Museum of Manhattan, New Media Repertory, Kids Classes of the Hamptons, Sandpiper Music Together, Music Together by the Dunes, Children's Museum of the East End, Rainbow Preschool, Stella Maris Preschool (East Hampton and Sag Harbor locations), Art House Engel, the Art Farm, Summer Camp @Ross, and Ross Lower School. Laura is married to Christopher Engel, Dean of Lower and Middle School Students and the Director of Community Programs at Ross, and they have two wonderful children, Noah (Ross '11) and Emma (Ross '16).
