Genevieve Courbois has extensive experience in development and communications, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Development at The River School since December 2007. Prior to this role, Genevieve worked as a Program Associate for the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission from October 2005 to December 2007, and as a Database Manager at Edmund Burke School from July 2004 to July 2005. Genevieve's career began as the Director of Communications at National Presbyterian School from July 2001 to July 2004. Educational credentials include a MA in Historic Preservation from both the University of Maryland (2003-2006) and Cornell University (1995-1996), as well as a BA in Historic Preservation from Goucher College (1989-1994). Genevieve is a graduate of Queen Anne School (1983-1989).
