Niranjana Dhandapani

Graduate Research Assistant at The Research Foundation for SUNY

Niranjana Dhandapani is an accomplished research professional with extensive experience in bioengineering and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Research Foundation for SUNY since May 2020, Niranjana specializes in cryohistology and mechanical testing of human skin, employing techniques such as uniaxial tensile testing and comprehensive statistical analysis using MATLAB and R software. Prior to this role, Niranjana was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Binghamton University, supporting various courses in the biomedical engineering department, and previously held research positions focusing on skin tissue properties and experimental design at Essity. Niranjana's academic background includes a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Binghamton University and a B.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology.
