Adam Tobey is a Senior Research Support Specialist at Albany Visualization and Informatics Labs since September 2019, focusing on Hazard Mitigation Planning research and document assessment. Prior to this role, Adam was an intern at the New York State Department of State, where analyses of water and wastewater infrastructure were conducted, and mapping of assets was performed using ArcGIS. Adam's experience also includes training and managing teams at the American Red Cross, processing blood units in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, and working as an Inventory Specialist at Amphenol Aerospace. Adam contributed as a volunteer with the American Conservation Experience, maintaining public trails and collaborating with various project partners. Adam holds a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University at Albany and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Art from SUNY Oneonta, along with additional studies in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and a Regents Diploma from Oxford Academy and Central School.
