La Shawn R. Stanton has extensive work experience in human resources and leadership roles. Starting in 2004 at Comcast, they held various positions including Senior HR Director and Regional HR Director, where they successfully implemented strategies to boost employee satisfaction and improve performance. La Shawn R. then moved on to Kaplan Higher and Professional Education as the Director of Human Resources, where they focused on aligning people strategies with business objectives. La Shawn also worked at Home Chef as a National Director of Field HR, where they grew the staff, implemented new hiring practices, and improved employee retention. La Shawn R. later joined Tribune Publishing Company as the Corporate Senior Director of HR and DEI Lead Strategist, and was responsible for leading HR initiatives and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. In 2020, La Shawn founded their own company, The Stanton Group, and in 2021, they took on roles as the Chief People Officer at The Place for Children with Autism and as a Member at Chief, a private network for senior women leaders. La Shawn's work experience demonstrates their expertise in HR strategy, leadership development, and driving positive organizational change.
La Shawn R. Stanton holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human Resources Management from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. La Shawn R. also completed a Certificate of Completion in Executive Leadership Development from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. In addition, La Shawn has obtained certifications in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) from HRCI, and Certified Executive Coach from the Center for Executive Coaching.
