Lester Luoma is an Applications Specialist at The Picas Group. Prior to joining The Picas Group, Lester served as a Network and Telecommunications Intern at SpartanNash from May 2021 to December 2021. In this role, Lester was responsible for testing and stacking new Meraki switches for retail store upgrades, executing on-site testing to help resolve connectivity issues in the warehouse network, and performing scripting to set and reorganize Location IDs for network devices. Lester also arranged and installed a Citrix server in the data center for hosting applications and routed cable to connect to a newly installed i-Vu router for admins to VPN into the warehouse system.
Prior to working at SpartanNash, Lester was a cashier at Rockets Bookstore from June 2019 to August 2019. In this role, Lester handled customer interactions to provide an excellent overall experience and used their organizational skills to display apparel in a creative, appealing way. Lester also assisted with project planning for the annual Rockets Bookstore “Party in the Park.”
Before working at Rockets Bookstore, Lester was a meat clerk at Meijer from June 2017 to June 2019.
Lester Luoma started their educational career by obtaining their bachelor's degree in information systems from Grand Valley State University. Lester then went on to study mechanical engineering at Siena Heights University, where they obtained their degree in mechanical engineering.
