Gates Garrity-Rokous is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and law education. Currently serving as the Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at The Ohio State University since September 2012, Gates has established the Office of University Compliance and Integrity. Additionally, Gates has taught regulatory compliance courses at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and Yale Law School. Previous roles include Chief Compliance Officer at GE Capital Americas and GE Capital Solutions, overseeing large compliance programs across multiple regions. Gates has also worked as a Partner at Wiggin and Dana LLP, provided legal counsel to public companies, and served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney leading federal health care fraud investigations. Educational credentials include a JD from Yale Law School and a BA from Trinity College-Hartford.
