Ivan Dias Soares is an accomplished oceanographer and environmental scientist with extensive experience in numerical simulations and ocean dynamics. As the CEO and Founder of Atlantech Soluções Ambientais since January 2016, Ivan has focused on environmental studies and wave simulations. Concurrently, since July 2016, Ivan has contributed as an Oceanographer and Computational Modeler at The Ocean Cleanup, where efforts are directed towards combating ocean plastic pollution through advanced technologies. Ivan is also a Research Scientist on Ocean Dynamics at Atlantis Institute, which specializes in applied sciences related to oceanography and environmental technology. With a solid educational background, including a PhD in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography from the University of Miami, Ivan possesses advanced expertise in oil spill modeling, sediment transport models, and oceanography, underscored by various academic credentials and training courses.
