Azmi Mamis has over three decades of experience in physical education and athletic program management. Since August 2000, Azmi Mamis has served as a Physical Education Specialist for 5th to 8th grade and Athletic Director at The Nueva School. Prior to this role, Azmi Mamis worked as a Physical Education Teacher at Cesar Chavez School in East Palo Alto from January 1996 to June 2000, and as a Personal Trainer specializing in weight loss management and athletic conditioning at Club One, Oakland, from February 1992 to February 1995. Azmi Mamis's career began at MARA Junior Science College in Malaysia, where Azmi Mamis organized the athletic program and taught physical education from 1989 to 1991. Azmi Mamis holds a Master of Science in Athletic Administration from California State University - East Bay and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Oklahoma State University, along with a Diploma of Arts in Photography from MARA Institute of Technology, which is currently being pursued. Azmi Mamis is certified by IDEA and NSCA.
