Rachel Morris began her career working with the YWCA inside the Tennessee Prison for Women. In 2007, she became the 10th employee on The Next Door’s payroll, as the Operations Assistant. Over the next 7 years, Rachel worked as an Operations Assistant, Workforce Development Specialist, and Operations Manager. She created new processes that established more administrative organization for The Next Door and implemented the new Electronic Health Record system for the agency. Because of her incredible job performance and her commitment to the organization’s mission, Rachel was promoted to Director of Operations in 2014. In 2017, she was recognized as Employee of the Year by the Nashville Business Journal.
