Tonyisha Harris currently serves as the Illinois Climate and Energy Program Manager at The Nature Conservancy, a position held since April 2024. Prior experience includes roles at Action for the Climate Emergency as Associate Director of Youth Media & Partnerships and Associate Director of Communications and Partnerships from February 2022 to March 2024. Tonyisha served as Chicagoland Conservation Manager and held several roles within the Illinois Environmental Council between September 2019 and February 2022, including Clean Energy Programs Director and Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition Administrator. Additional experience includes being a Fellow at New Leaders Council in 2021, Peer Mentor at Achieveing College Excellence in 2018-2019, and various internships and roles in environmental organizations. Tonyisha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Loyola University Chicago and has also studied at Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
