Craig Holland has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Craig started their career as a Regional Marketing Representative at Sony Music from 1997 to 1999. Craig then worked as a Consulting Manager at Digi-Block, where they managed a team of consultants from 2001 to 2003. In 2003, they founded The Archive, a cafe and media center in Brooklyn, and sold it in 2010. From 2006 to 2012, they served as the Director of Business Operations and Development at Hoberman Associates, a design firm specializing in transformable design. Craig then joined the Adaptive Building Initiative as a Strategic Management/Board Member from 2008 to 2012. In 2012, they also worked as a Consultant at the Natural Infrastructure Financing Laboratory, providing recommendations on financing and policy issues for green infrastructure implementation in Philadelphia. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Director of Operations at BioLite, responsible for product development and sales operations. Craig then joined Techstars in 2018 as a Mentor for early-stage companies in the Sustainability Accelerator. In the same year, they also took on the role of Senior Director of Product Development at NatureVest, where they led a team focusing on investment in Green Infrastructure. Currently, they are working at The Nature Conservancy as the Senior Director Investments, Healthy Cities, overseeing a team dedicated to developing and investing in environmental markets globally. Craig also founded and manages two subsidiary for-profit companies, District Stormwater and Brightstorm, that develop water quality projects and technology solutions. Craig Holland has also been a Guest Lecturer at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design since 2023.
Craig Holland earned their B.A. in Social Thought and Political Economy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 1996 and 2000. Craig then pursued an M.S. in Sustainability Management at Columbia University from 2011 to 2013. In 2022, they completed the Leadership Development Programme at Cambridge Judge Business School.
