Amy Blumberg

Teaching Artist at The Moth

Amy Blumberg is a prominent figure in the New York City theater scene, serving as the Co-Producing Artistic Director of the after-image since March 2019, a movement-theater company Amy co-founded. With extensive experience as a Theater Director for Sydnie L. Mosley Dances and IKantKoan Games, Amy specializes in experimental, audience-interactive, and movement-based works in both NYC and Philadelphia. As a Teaching Artist for The Moth, Amy imparts storytelling skills in high schools and community organizations. Additional roles include Program Associate and Program Assistant at the Baryshnikov Arts Center and Dramaturg and Development Manager at GREYZONE, a multimedia dance project. Previous collaborations with MeenMoves highlight achievements in dramaturgy and production management. Amy's academic background includes an MFA in Theater Directing from Temple University and a BA in Africana Studies with a minor in Dance from Barnard College.
