Ross Bender currently serves as the Director for New Product Development and Senior Agronomist for Eastern North America at The Mosaic Company, a role that involves training stakeholders on scientific concepts and translating research data to meet customer needs. Prior experience includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois, managing extensive research plots, and conducting research on maize grain weight at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Ross Bender interned with Monsanto in various capacities, contributing to significant projects such as obtaining EPA approval for Refuge-In-Bag seed corn, and also gained experience at Syngenta Seeds overseeing seed corn production. Ross Bender holds a PhD and MS in Crop Physiology from the University of Illinois and a BS in Crop and Soil Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
