Tia Nichole McMillen is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communication, public affairs, and education. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Planner for the Defense Health Agency, McMillen leads communication efforts across 970+ military medical facilities. As the Founder and CEO of Heaps of Help, McMillen specializes in professional résumé services for veterans transitioning to new careers. McMillen’s dedication to education is reflected in roles as an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University and a Facilitator at the University of San Francisco, where McMillen develops engaging curricula. Previous roles include Regional Director of Communication at Naval Medical Forces Atlantic and various public affairs positions within the U.S. Navy, demonstrating expertise in crisis communication, media relations, and community engagement.
