Carol Marbin Miller has extensive experience in investigative journalism, currently serving as the Deputy Investigations Editor at the Miami Herald since 2000. In this role, Carol helps guide the organization’s investigative initiatives and contributes to team reporting, focusing on long-term projects that address issues affecting underserved and marginalized communities. Prior to this position, Carol worked as a reporter covering courts and legal affairs at the Daily Business Review from 1998 to 2000, and as an investigative reporter focusing on social services and county government at The St. Petersburg Times from 1990 to 1998. Carol holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminology from Florida State University.
