Alexandra Glorioso is a State Government Reporter for the Miami Herald, contributing to the Miami Herald/Tampa Bay Times state Capitol bureau in Tallahassee, Florida since March 2024. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Barred Owl Press, established in October 2020, Alexandra focuses on empowering patients with chronic illnesses. Previous roles include Senior News Editor for The Florida Bar, freelance reporter for The New York Times, and health care reporter for Politico Florida, where extensive coverage of health care policy was provided. Alexandra additionally served as a political reporter for Naples Daily News and held various positions including Reporting Intern at the Center for Responsive Politics and freelance reporter at the Tehran Bureau at the Guardian. Alexandra's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Arizona State University.
