Fenna Engelke

Assistant Conservator In Paper Conservation at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Fenna Engelke is an experienced conservation professional specializing in works of art on paper. Currently serving as the Morse Fellow for Advanced Training in Conservation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston since October 2022, Fenna has held various internships including Japanese Paintings Conservation Intern at the National Museum of Asian Art, and Paper Conservation Intern roles at institutions such as Kupferstich-Kabinett Dresden and DP Conservation. Previous experience also includes internships at the Rijksmuseum, Saint Louis Art Museum, Texas State Library and Archives Commission, Harry Ransom Center, and a project with the National Park Service focusing on the Star Spangled Banner archives. Education includes a Master's degree and Advanced Professional Program in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage from the University of Amsterdam, following a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking and Art History from Syracuse University.
