Raj Hodgson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting from 1997, Raj worked at Swinton Group as the Head of Operations, Sales, Service, Retentions, and Claims, overseeing a staff of 425. After that, Raj joined Santander UK as a Senior Collections Manager, responsible for managing a team of 400 employees and implementing process improvements for efficient debt collection. In 2010, Raj transitioned to LifeSearch as the Head of Customer Services and Sales, leading a multi-site department with a focus on insurance protection. Responsibilities included managing a team of 80 employees, achieving sales targets, and ensuring excellent customer service. Raj then moved on to Direct Group Limited, where they served as the Head of Operations for Sales and Service, managing inbound and outbound campaigns for various insurance products. Following that, Raj worked at Capita Remediation Services as an Operations Manager, overseeing the Payment Protection Insurance complaints department and maintaining client relationships. Raj also served as a Governor at Shelf Junior and Infant School, contributing to education strategic planning and performance. In 2017, Raj joined Royal Mail as an Operations Manager, where they led and managed two delivery offices and a team of 350 employees, focusing on achieving targets and implementing health and safety measures. Most recently, Raj joined Yorkshire Water in 2018 as an Operations and Project Manager, responsible for managing operations and projects until 2022. Currently, Raj holds the position of Operational Lead at the Medical Protection Society.
Raj Hodgson pursued higher education in the field of Social Sciences. From 1984 to 1989, they attended Judgemeadow school in Leicester and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. Following this, from 1991 to 1994, they attended the University of Bradford where they studied Sociology, Psychology, Literature & Politics and earned a degree in Social Sciences.
