Marisa Fajardo currently serves as Conservation Project Manager at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk since May 2023. Previous experience includes a Research Intern position at North Carolina Zoo, where work involved monitoring social behaviors among male gorillas and reporting findings. Marisa's background also features a Husbandry Work-Study at Duke Lemur Center, a volunteer role at Austin Bat Refuge, and internships at Lemur Conservation Foundation and Austin Wildlife Rescue. Academically, Marisa holds a Master's degree in Environmental Studies from Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior from The University of Texas at Austin.
