Mark Maglana is an experienced professional with a diverse range of roles in the technology industry. Mark currently holds the position of Senior DevOps Engineer at The Linux Foundation, where they started in 2021.
Prior to their current role, Mark worked at Canonical from 2019 to 2021. During their time there, they held the positions of Field Software Engineer II and Field Software Engineer I. Mark achieved notable accomplishments, including producing Kubernetes Operators for Grafana, Prometheus, and AlertManager using Juju.
Before joining Canonical, Mark served as President and Co-founder of Amplify Inc. from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they provided a range of building auxiliary system services.
From 2017 to 2018, Mark worked at Tesla as a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer. Mark played a key role in building Tesla's CI/CD platform, named ATM.
Mark also has experience as a DevOps Engineer at Teradata from 2016 to 2017, where they led the internal Kubernetes standard configuration project. Prior to that, they worked as a QA/Release Engineer at Dimension Data from 2014 to 2016, contributing to projects such as Ansible, OpenStack, Open vSwitch, and Open DayLight.
Earlier in their career, Mark held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at Morphlabs from 2012 to 2014, overseeing technical roadmap prioritization and product design. In their undergraduate studies, Mark obtained a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of San Carlos, which they attended from 1995 to 2000.
In addition to their formal education, Mark has also obtained certifications in the field of technology. Mark became a Certified Kubernetes Administrator through the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) in June 2021. In December 2019, they achieved the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
