Karen Hansen is an experienced professional in the fields of fundraising, athletic administration, and sports management. Currently serving as the Regional Advancement Director at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since September 2024, Karen oversees donor development and volunteer management. Previously, Karen held the position of Business Manager at [s] Cube Inc from September 2022 to September 2024. A notable tenure at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from October 2005 to September 2022 as the Senior Woman Administrator and Associate Athletic Director involved managing 650 student-athletes, a $13 million budget, and a team of 100 employees, with a strong focus on student-athlete development and community outreach. Earlier experience includes directing athletic operations at Bloomsburg University, where responsibilities included scheduling for 18 varsity sports and overseeing event operations. Karen holds a M.Ed. in Sport Management & Administration and a B.S. in Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
