Amanda Darby is an experienced attorney based in Rochester, New York, currently serving as Attorney for the Child at The Legal Aid Society since December 2021. Prior to this role, Amanda held the position of Assistant Public Defender at the Monroe County Public Defender's Office from September 2016 to November 2021. Previous legal experience includes working as an Associate Attorney at Ganguly Brothers, PLLC, and serving as an Assistant District Attorney at the 19th Judicial District. Additional experience encompasses a Judicial Law Clerk position at the Juvenile Court of East Baton Rouge Parish and a Law Clerk role with the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General's Gaming Division. Amanda also contributed to education as an Assistant English Teacher through the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program. Amanda earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from LSU Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Austin College.
