Deborah Book currently serves as a Practice Advisor at the Law Society of Alberta, providing confidential advice to legal professionals and facilitating discussions on access to justice. Previously, Deborah held the position of Senior Legal Counsel at the University of Calgary, advising on litigation, student appeals, and policy matters. Deborah's legal experience also includes roles as Legal Counsel focusing on employment and human rights, and as a Lawyer at Deborah Book Law, where flexible legal solutions were provided. Earlier positions involved litigation as an Associate at JSS Barristers and legal research as a Clerk/Articling Student at the Alberta Court of Appeal, along with experience as a Legal Intern at TEC Edmonton. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Calgary.
