Margo Jacquot

Founder and Director at The Juniper Center

Margo Jacquot has extensive experience in the field of trauma recovery and therapy. Margo founded and directed The Juniper Center, a prominent trauma recovery center in the Midwest, starting in 1994. Additionally, they served as adjunct faculty at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where they developed curriculum and taught courses on trauma therapy, family systems, substance abuse treatment, objective measures of personality, multicultural perspectives, and LGBTQ+ treatment for a period of 10 years. Prior to their work at The Juniper Center and The Chicago School, Margo Jacquot worked at Forest Hospital as the Director of Chemical Dependency Services, where they oversaw inpatient addiction service provision, supervised clinicians, developed programs, conducted service evaluations and treatment, and assisted in JCAHO compliance.

Margo Jacquot completed their Psy.D. in Marriage and Family Concentration at the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology from 1987 to 1992. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology/Political Science from Loyola University Chicago, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. In addition to their formal education, Margo has obtained several certifications. In 2008, they became a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress through the National Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. In 2011, Margo became a Certified Supervisory Alcohol and Drug Counselor through IAODAPCA. Finally, in 2013, they obtained the certification of Certified Therapist in EMDR from the EMDR International Association.
