Skylar Butler is currently an APL Intern Ambassador and System Modeling, Evaluation, and Planning Intern at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, focusing on strategic defense projects. At Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Skylar serves as a Student Assistant in the Physical Sciences Department, a Peer Mentor for the Office of Undergraduate Research, and engages in various roles including access control and campus safety management. With experience in research opportunities, including a grant to study gravitational wave detection, and involvement in organizations such as Students for the Exploration and Development of Space and the Council on Undergraduate Research, Skylar enhances professional skills through mentorship programs like Boeing's Career Mentorship Program. Skylar holds a Bachelor of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics and Space Physics, expected in May 2026.
