Savvas Raptis possesses a robust academic and research background with experience in astrophysics and plasma physics. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory since June 2023, Raptis previously held a similar role at the Royal Institute of Technology from October 2018 to June 2023. Raptis also participated as a Visiting Researcher at the European Space Agency from January to March 2023. Raptis holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Plasma and Space Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, complemented by a Master’s Degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from KU Leuven and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon. Additionally, Raptis has experience in education as a Physics Teacher in the City of Athens, Greece, from September 2013 to August 2015.
