Brian Motherway is an accomplished professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Head of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Inclusive Transitions at the International Energy Agency since December 2015. Prior to this role, Brian was the Chief Executive and Chief Operations Officer at the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland from January 2011 to December 2015 and previously held the position of Head of Strategy there from October 2006 to 2010. Brian commenced the professional journey as a Director at Motherway Begley from 2001 to 2006. Academically, Brian Motherway holds a PhD in Sociology from Trinity College Dublin, along with an MSE in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a BE in Engineering from University College Dublin.
