Amy Merrill is an accomplished legal and executive professional with extensive experience in climate policy and carbon markets. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) since December 2023, Amy previously held the position of Senior Director, Head of Global Carbon Markets at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) from February 2023 to July 2024, focusing on global carbon market leadership. Prior to these roles, Amy was Senior Legal Counsel at Climate Asset Management and spent a decade at UNFCCC as a Legal Officer, where significant contributions included leading the delivery of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Amy's earlier career includes positions at Linklaters and Allen & Overy, as well as an internship with the Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development. Amy holds an LLM in European Laws, International Environment Laws, and EU Policy from the College of Europe.
