Valerie Crespín-Trujillo, PhD, MPP, currently serves as the Director of College Completion Policy at The Institute for College Access & Success, a position held since October 2024. Previously, Valerie was a Senior Program Officer and Program Officer at Ascendium Education Group, contributing to philanthropic initiatives aimed at systemic change in education. Academic roles include serving as a University Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where responsibilities encompassed research and teaching in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. Valerie also held leadership positions within the Wisconsin Technical College System and Madison Area Technical College, focusing on educational program development and effectiveness. Earlier experience includes program evaluation roles at the New Mexico Legislative Finance Committee and the New Mexico Higher Education Department, emphasizing fiscal analysis and postsecondary education policy.
