Alisha Rahaman Sarkar is a seasoned journalist with a diverse background in reporting and multimedia journalism. Currently serving as a Reporter for Asia at The Independent since September 2021, Alisha previously worked as a Correspondent at Sputnik News and as a Multimedia Journalist at The New Indian Express. Early career experiences include a role as a Stringer at Rajya Sabha TV and an internship at India Today. Alisha holds a Post Graduation diploma in New Media from the Asian College of Journalism and has furthered education through distance studies at Sikkim Manipal University.
