The Illinois Space Society (ISS) is a SEDS USA chapter at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. We are a technical, professional, and social student organization with 150+ members, whom all share a passion for science, technology, and space exploration. 

Since the beginning, our mission has been to connect a network of space enthusiasts and industry professionals, to serve our community through educational outreach, and to provide our members with resources that will assist them in pursuing their dreams in the field of space exploration. We accomplish these goals through technical projects, connecting with K-12 students locally, and allowing our members numerous opportunities to develop their professional skills.

The Engineering Team at the Illinois Space Society is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of technical projects related to space exploration. This diverse group of engineers collaborates on various aspects of spacecraft systems, including software development, avionics, hardware integration, and trajectory optimization.
