Cathy Kangas is the founder of PRAI Beauty, a cruelty-free skincare company that donates a portion of each purchase to animal rescue efforts. She joined the HSUS Board of Directors in 2012 and serves on the Nominating and Philanthropy committees.

A passionate animal welfare advocate, Kangas also founded the Cathy Kangas Foundation for Animals. Through its Free the Shelters campaign, the foundation sponsors free adoptions for shelter animals. Kangas is proud to have received the HSUS Compassion in Action award in 2012 for her dedication to animal protection.
