Ken Weinstein currently serves as Japan Chair, Walter P. Stern Distinguished Fellow, and President & CEO at the Hudson Institute since June 2005. Weinstein was nominated by President Trump to be US Ambassador to Japan, receiving unanimous bipartisan support from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from March 2020 to January 2021. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University, a DEA in Soviet Studies from Sciences Po, and a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies in the Humanities from the University of Chicago.
