Jonathan Abel

Customer Success Team Leader Asia-pacific at The Hotels Network

Jonathan Abel has a diverse work experience in various industries. Jonathan started their career in 2018 as a Student in Training at Vatel France, where they gained hands-on experience in different operational departments of hotels. From 2019 to 2021, Jonathan worked as an Operations Intern at Groupe Partouche, gaining further industry experience.

In 2022, Jonathan joined The Hotels Network as a Client Success & Implementation Intern, where they were responsible for setting up tools for hoteliers and providing follow-up support. Later in the year, they took on the role of Junior Customer Success Specialist (EMEA), focusing on the French-speaking and African markets. In this role, they managed accounts, optimized direct booking channels, and analyzed performance data.

Prior to their work at The Hotels Network, Jonathan briefly worked at AWWG as an HR International Payroll specialist.

Jonathan Abel has a comprehensive education history in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management. In 2021 and 2022, they pursued a Master's degree at EADA Business School, specializing in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, Jonathan obtained their Bachelor's degree in International Hospitality Management from Vatel France.

In 2017, Jonathan briefly studied Sociology at the University of Cape Town, earning a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree. Before their university studies, from 2007 to 2016, Jonathan attended Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg, where they completed their Abitur.

In addition to their formal education, Jonathan also obtained a Certificate in Sustainable Tourism - Promoting Environmental Public Health from Coursera in April 2020.
