Emily Brough has a diverse work experience across various roles and industries. Emily started their career in 2002 as a Production Manager at kaboom productions, where they managed commercial film projects and assisted freelance production teams. Emily then worked as a Music Video Producer at Fusion Jones Production in 2003, where they successfully produced a music video under a limited budget.
In 2004, Emily joined STRANGEco as a Production Director, where they were responsible for all aspects of product development for a designer toy company. Their role involved working on initial concept development, marketing strategies, and coordinating information and artwork between artists, creative directors, and factory representatives.
In 2010, Emily took on the role of Special Projects Coordinator and Online Contributor at Hi Fructose Magazine, where they organized operational procedures for the art magazine and contributed to the magazine's blog.
From 2010 to 2021, they worked at Tokidoki as the Director of Business Development. Emily spearheaded franchise development and licensing strategy for the globally recognized lifestyle brand. Emily successfully built the toy and collectibles business from scratch, grew the toy production department to become the top revenue stream, and launched the brand in emerging markets. Emily also played a key role in building a global brand strategy, evaluating foreign markets, negotiating contracts, and cultivating partnerships with cross-cultural teams. Additionally, Emily managed accounts for specialty retailers and international distributors, resolved brand and licensing issues, and revamped the product development in the collectibles category for the largest distribution territory in China.
Throughout their career, Emily has demonstrated strong leadership, strategy development, and operational skills in product development, marketing, and licensing.
Emily Brough has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Community Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Emily also has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Southern California, but the field of study is unknown.
