Nicholas Mdakane has a diverse work experience in the field of cardiac physiology. Nicholas started their career as a Student Clinical Technologist at Groote Schuur Hospital in 2018. Afterward, they worked as a Cardiac Clinical Technologist at the same hospital from 2019 to 2019. In 2020, they joined Euracare Advanced Diagnostic and Heart Centre as a Cardiac Physiologist and worked there until 2022. Nicholas then joined St John & St Elizabeth Hospital in 2022 as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist and later promoted to Lead Cardiac Physiologist in 2023.
Nicholas Mdakane's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology degree in Clinical Technology (Cardiology) from Durban University of Technology, which was obtained in November 2019. Prior to that, they completed a National diploma in Clinical Technology at the same institution from 2016 to 2018. Nicholas has also obtained certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from Save a Life Certifications by NHCPS in March 2022 and February 2022, respectively. Additionally, Nicholas has received First Aid Training from Applause Healthcare in July 2017.
