Sara Qubisi

Sara Qubisi, PhD, is a Research Fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children since July 2021 and has served as an Associate at Cheeky Scientist since September 2018. Previously, Sara Qubisi worked as a Research Technician at The University of Auckland from October 2015 to February 2022, where responsibilities included managing experimental data, maintaining laboratory operations, and conducting various molecular biology techniques. As a PhD student at The University of Auckland, research focused on the signaling pathways in glomerular development and injury in Zebrafish, successfully generating transgenic lines using CRISPR and Cre-lox systems. Earlier experience includes functioning as a Product Specialist and Trainee at an Advanced Medical German Company from May 2010 to August 2012, responsible for laboratory setups and knowledge transfer. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Medicine and Pathology from The University of Auckland, a Master of Research in Nanomedicine and Cells Reprogramming from UCL, and an International Business Diploma in Accounting and Business/Management from Cambridge Judge Business School.
