Joseph Ledford currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Hoover History Lab and as a Hoover Fellow at The Hoover Institution, Stanford University, since September 2023. Prior to this role, Joseph held several positions including Postdoctoral Fellow and Predoctoral Fellow with the America in the World Consortium from August 2021 to August 2023. Joseph was also a Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies during the same period. Further experience includes serving as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley from August 2017 to August 2022 and as a Teaching Assistant at Tufts University from August 2015 to May 2016. Joseph earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in American History from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in History from Tufts University, along with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from Georgia State University.
