Leeann Passaro has a diverse range of work experience. Leeann is currently working as part of the Upper School English Department at Indian Creek School, where they teach English to 8th, 9th, and 10th-grade students and coaches varsity girls soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. Leeann is also an advisor to 9th-grade students. Additionally, Leeann has worked as the Chief Operating Officer at The Hidden Opponent, an advocacy group that addresses the stigma attached to athlete mental health. Leeann has experience in teaching as a Upper Division Teaching Fellow at Berkeley Preparatory School and as an Administrative Assistant at The Lawrenceville School Summer Scholars program. Leeann has also had various roles at Washington and Lee University, including Class Agent, Videography Intern, Traveller Safe Ride Program employee, and Athletic Training Room Assistant. Leeann has been involved in publishing as a Publishing Intern at Shenandoah Literary Magazine and as an Editor and Founding Member of Diverge WLU, a student-run publication. Additionally, Leeann has been a Mock Convention Medical Specialist at the Washington and Lee Mock Convention, providing first aid and safety training. Leeann has also worked as an IFSA Global Ambassador, advocating for the merits of the IFSA study abroad program.
Leeann Passaro completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature at Washington and Lee University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended The Lawrenceville School for their high school education between 2013 and 2016.
In terms of additional certifications, Leeann obtained the AIMS Beginning Teachers Seminar Series from the Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools in May 2022. Leeann also completed the One Love Workshop Facilitator program offered by the One Love Foundation and obtained the SafeSport Certification from the U.S. Center for SafeSport, both in March 2022. Furthermore, they acquired the US Soccer 9v9 Coaching License from the U.S. Soccer Federation in March 2022.
Apart from these specific certifications, Leeann participated in the Harkness Teaching Workshop at The Lawrenceville School. Leeann also completed training in Lifeguard & Water Safety Training, Standard First Aid, CPR and AED through the American Red Cross. Additionally, they completed the Youth Protection Training from the Boy Scouts of America. The exact months and years of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
