Brian S. Weinhart

Board Member at The Heart Foundation

Brian holds the unique position of having served as the founding Chairman of The Heart Foundation’s Advisory Board, a “think tank” of industry leaders who assisted in developing and implementing innovative techniques to raise awareness and funds in the fight against heart disease, and as a member of The Heart Foundation’s Board of Directors. In 1997, Brian experienced his own heart scare. Similar to Steve Cohen, he was in his mid-30s, active, healthy and had never had cardiac problems before. On a flight home from a ski weekend, Brian began to feel chest discomfort. As a safety precaution, upon landing he had some friends drive him to the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He was met there by Dr. PK Shah and diagnosed with myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle which can be deadly. Dr. Shah told him if he arrived at the emergency room 10 minutes later, he may not have survived. Brian became involved with The Heart Foundation just over a year later after mutual friends introduced him to Chairman Mark Litman.

Brian obtained his Bachelors of Arts and law degrees from the University of Southern California. He is a founding partner and chairman of the Real Estate/Finance Department of Steckbauer Weinhart, LLP, a boutique law firm specializing in real estate transactions, financial services & corporate securities, litigation & dispute resolution, bankruptcy, estate planning & asset protection.
