Tara Hutchinson

Consultant/Director Lean Research at The Garage

Tara Hutchinson has a diverse work experience in the field of research and strategic insights. Tara is currently working as a Qualitative Research Consultant, Moderator & Facilitator at TBH Research & Insights Consulting LLC, where they specialize in various aspects of research such as moderation, facilitation, ideation, and project direction.

In 2020, they joined The Garage Group as a Consultant/Director Lean Research. Prior to this, they worked at General Mills starting in 2011, where they held multiple roles in the Global Consumer Insights department. Their responsibilities included working as an Internal Consultant for Global Consumer Insights, Senior Associate for Go-Gurt and Kid Yogurt, Senior Associate for Yogurt & Annie's Innovation, Senior Associate for Global Trends, and Senior Associate for Old El Paso.

Prior to that, they held the position of Global Consumer Insights Senior Associate for Health & Wellness COE at General Mills from 2010 to 2010. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Global Consumer Insights Senior Associate for ICE at General Mills.

Their earlier work experience includes serving as an Independent Consultant/Moderator at TBH Research from 2004 to 2007, and as a Senior Research Manager at Best Buy from 2005 to 2006.

Tara Hutchinson's education history begins with their obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Marketing from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Tara completed their undergraduate studies between the years 1984 and 1988. After that, they pursued further education and earned a Master's Business Certification (MBC) in Marketing from the University of St. Thomas, studying there from 1995 to 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Tara Hutchinson has also obtained two additional certifications.
