Koustav Pal

Project Research Scientist at The Francis Crick Institute

Koustav Pal, PhD, is a Project Research Scientist at The Francis Crick Institute since October 2020, focusing on sequencing data related to genome topology and chromosome architecture. In addition, Koustav serves as the Marketing Team Lead for the Crick Science Entrepreneur Network (CSEN) from July 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at IFOM, the FIRC Institute for Molecular Oncology from November 2014 to October 2020, and as a Bioinformatician at the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR) from March 2012 to November 2014, specializing in next-generation sequencing data analysis. Koustav holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from the European School of Molecular Medicine, a Masterā€™s degree in Biotechnology from Amity University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology, Genetics, and Biochemistry from Bangalore University.
