Alexa Villatoro serves as the News Editor at The Fordham Observer since January 2022, where oversight of news content production and mentorship of staff writers are key responsibilities. Previous roles at The Observer include Assistant News Editor, Social Media Editor, and Staff Writer. Currently, Alexa also works as a Research Assistant at Fordham University. Prior experience includes strategic advocacy as a Language Access Campaign Organizer at OneAmerica and community organizing as a Youth Council Member. Early career positions involved editorial roles at The Seattle Collegian and The Phoenix Flyer, as well as a Business Operations Internship at Boeing. Alexa holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Fordham University and an Associate of Arts in International/Global Studies from Seattle Central College.
