Hillary Salo currently serves as the Technical Director and Chair of the Emerging Issues Task Force at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) since August 2020. Previously, Hillary held the position of Partner in the Audit and Department of Professional Practice at KPMG from August 2015 to August 2020, and served as a Professional Accounting Fellow at the US Securities and Exchange Commission from June 2013 to July 2015. Hillary's career at KPMG also includes roles as Senior Manager and Manager in the Department of Professional Practice and Transaction Services, respectively, from July 2004 to June 2013. Additionally, Hillary worked as a Postgraduate Technical Assistant at FASB from 2003 to 2004. Hillary holds a BSBA and a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, completed between 1998 and 2003.
