Johnny Burton is an accomplished IT and security professional with extensive experience in network engineering and security management. Currently serving as the Vice President IT and Security Officer at The Family Institute at Northwestern University since October 2024, Johnny previously held the position of Network Security Manager at Casechek from March 2019 to October 2024, where responsibilities included leading cloud infrastructure support in AWS and implementing security best practices. With prior roles at Brightstar Corp., Gogo, Comcast Cable, and Barbeau Enterprises, Johnny has demonstrated expertise in designing secure networks, managing hybrid environments, and enhancing VoIP systems. Johnny holds a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity from Western Governors University and various certifications, including CISSP and CvCISO.
